Deonne has eight (8) years legal experience in the jurisdiction of Montserrat and most recently, she concluded a five (5) year tenure as the Deputy Registrar within the Companies and Intellectual Properties Office. Her professional expertise lies in the private sector and civil service and spans intellectual property, corporate matters, strategic planning, policy development and human resource management.
Her detailed knowledge of the legislative context and the business environment on Montserrat enable her to provide quality and timely advice and guidance to clients to ensure the fullest protection of their interests. Services include Registry filings for local and UK trade marks and patents: searches, gazette watches, registration, renewal, merger, assignment, recordal of licences, change of name and address, cancellation, restoration, changes to the Register. She works well with clients to provide advice on the application of local IP legislation and to resolve complex issues.
Deonne has facilitated educational workshops and seminars locally to increase the awareness and understanding of Registry provisions. Deonne’s special blend of career skills and knowledge poise her well to ensure the growth and stability of the Eproint brand.
