Expertise:
Mariela Carrillo has five years of experience handling Intellectual Property matters and advises worldwide clients on all aspects of the creation and registration of trademarks, commercial names, slogans, and domain names. She is in charge of trademark due diligence projects in El Salvador and other Latin American countries and, among her other responsibilities, reports trademark status, publication deadlines, and renewal deadlines.
She is also in charge of regulatory law matters and securing health registrations of goods such as veterinary products, pharmaceuticals, new technologies, medical and hygienic supplies, cosmetics, foods, and beverages, as well as the pursuit of authorizations to import all types of goods into El Salvador.
She counsels pharmaceutical laboratories in the region about regulation in El Salvador of advertising, tenders, administrative hiring, and how to secure authorizations from the competent authorities.
